Quite mind boggling to think that this is all happening just one division above us. Their hearts definitely seem in the right place, they're in it for the long haul.
Great to see that their women's team is also benefitting

Well of course! I'd like to see Wrexham go up, but via the play-offs. They're still favourites for the league title though. But it's closer after yesterday

Was extremely sad to hear the Notts County CEO Jason Turner died suddenly last week. Had a lot of discussions with him during the covid debacle at the League. One of the only people able to push the needs of their club (which we did not see eye to eye on) while balancing and respecting the needs of other clubs in different circumstances. He held the League strongly to account on its responsibilities to all clubs. So I hope they do it for him. The game has lost one of the good ones. Very sad.

Jason Turner's death has hit the club hard. Extraordinary outpouring of grief and respect within the Notts County family and across football. Good to know you knew and respected him Ben.
Ryan Reynolds giving him a mention in this post match interview

Yes, hats off to him. Very hard not to like them both. Looks like the play offs for Notts. And we are bloody awful in the play offs.

my proper team Scunthorpe United will be in the National League North next season... heading for the same tier as Walthamstow FC, guess theres not much chance they will meet but that would be a tough decision. I've got scarves of both.

So Wrexham finally won the National League today. Will be interesting to see how far they can all go. Not sure they'll have it all their own way in League Two.
Have to feel for Notts County. 106 points with one game to go and facing the play offs for promotion. If ever there was a season to plead a case for three up three down it's this one.

If there is a god - and I'm certain there isn't - Notts will be promoted too. And then dick Wrexham over in future promotion campaigns

I hope Notts get promoted too. but I don't know why you're being so bitter. What's happened at Wrexham has made a lot of people take an interest in the 'unglamourous' lower divisions. and that's a win for everyone.

Suppose it's a similar situation when Billericay Town won the league when we finished 2nd, with a points total that would have been enough to win the league ten previous seasons

I am bitter because I am a Notts County fan and all this Hollywood bollocks has bought promotion from under us. And knowing Notts, we will bugger up the play offs. Wrexham and Notts have bugger all to do with the "lower divisions."

The National League is essentially League 3. I think there's only one team that are part time in that division. It's like Ebbsfleet winning our division, that's their job so not winning the league isn't an option

True. Good luck to them. I like their owners. And it is good to see a club like Wrexham (screw them though) back in the league.

I reserve the right to change my generous view when Boreham Wood beat Notts on penalties at Wembley

In other news, down here at Winchester City, we survived our first season at step 3 with three games to spare.

Not bad for a side that were favourites to be relegated. So much so in fact, that Winch's most loyal supporter promised that if we stayed up he would go to the last game of the season in full goalkeeper kit.

There's reasons why I love non-league.

I think there’s a difference in how the Wrexham owners made their money versus how Tamplin made his.
Having said that, I’m assuming the Wrexham owners are legit. And they didn’t [redacted, lawyers] like Tamplin did.
