France v Honduras (Group E) Sunday 15th June 2014

Thats crazy! The system in the PL works just fine.

I think it was just being German thorough, adjudicating on anything that went near the goal. People aren't use it, caused confusion.

Technology shows it's a goal, and it is a goal. Why are they saying it's complex? It bounced off the bar and over the line. Fuck me - if that is enough to fox football commentators, it's a wonder they can feed themselves.

I know I really don't understand why there's been such a big deal over it? It hit the post and was on the line - technology showed that. Second one went over the line - technology showed that. 2-0 France restart the match again.

What the fuck does Jonathan Pearce not understand about what happened?
It said no goal off the post, then goal over the line.

Simple enough, but seems to have confused him lol.

He then tried to back track by waffling about how the confused message could cause violence in the stadium  :D

Exactly, has to be consistent and there were two instances where it could have gone over the line so it checked both. If it ever goes over the line, it's a goal.

"Dear Mr. Jonathan so-called Pearce,

Please learn the rules of football before commentating on any further matches.

Cheers,

The rest of the world"

honduras have a player called Boniek, which is also the name of the Polish football legend. Turns out its his middle name and his parents chose the name directly after the Polish player. HIs real name is Oscar Boniek Garcia but he's decided to have Boniek on his shirt

For goodness sake he's still going on about it. 'Second goal was controversial' no it wasn't, you can see it was over the line without technology and the technology shows it was.

will someone put jonathan pearce out of my misery?
it was nice to hear him complain about the cost of the stadiums and pointing out it would have paid for the brazillian welfare bill twice over, adding that 'clearly something is not right'. I like JP.

But yeah the whole 2nd goal thing couldnt be more obvious
