As well as being ugly and tacky as fuck it is ill-fitting with the surrounding skyline, and other than the £££-per-head tourist visitors to the viewing platform it would serve no practical purpose to anyone, so good fucking riddance.
I dunno. The usual plan is to keep appealing to a higher authority but the local council has said no, the mayor has said no and now the government has said no. Where do they go now? Prayer?
I supposed they could go to court but that can only happen if any of the planning bodies has gone against their own rules which in this case seems very unlikely.
It really surprises me they thought they could make this a financially viable project. They should just modify the BT Tower or something.
