Former players...

Listening to Rangers v St. Johnstone. Jaiyesimi sent off for Saints after a VAR review, radio commentary seemed to suggest ref erred in not going for a straight red.

Quade Taylor and Nebay Haile have followed Paul Barnes to Corinthian-Casuals.
They've also got Reggie Savage on the bench, a much travelled striker who will be 43 in April and briefly played for us as long ago as the 2005/6 season. Francis Quarm (aged 40) who's been a regular starter this season appears to have lost his place to Quade. Today's Casuals starting XI has at least 5 starters who weren't in the matchday squad for the 3-0 defeat at Not Police two days ago, including a new goalkeeper.

Saw the Casuals earlier in the season in Surrey Senior Cup game, they were truly bad. the keeper who has left was a giant around 6ft 6/7inc but went down in instalments to low shots. Old Casuals player Gary Cascoe has 2 of sons playing there Dylan and Shea. Gray looked woefully out of his depth in recruitment. Barnes reign started with a 1-0 defeat. I can only imagine how awful Binfield must be in that league

Andy Gray (another former Hamlet player, in case any younger supporters aren't aware) was a rather leftfield appointment in the first place. An ex-pro aged almost 60 who played for the club as a youngster almost 40 years ago, but had no relevant coaching or management experience as far as I can tell. His recruitment seemed to consist of veterans well past their prime and people I'd never heard of. They managed to survive 5 years in the Premier Division and were a competitive team under James Bracken, building a decent level of support too, but they've yet to find anyone who can sustain his legacy.

Gary Cascoe was just about the only regular member of Billy Smith's Casuals squad who never followed him to the Hamlet, although a few others were soon discarded as not good enough for stepping up two divisions.
