fucking great tune made all the better by the view from my old office which overlooked waterloo station - some of those sunsets are spectacular! :D

Apparently the station is going to be renamed "The Naploeon Bonaparte Euroterminal". I'm against it myself. "The Naploeon Bonaparte Euroterminal Sunset" just doesn't scan. It would wreck the song.

This post might be total bollox.

some good stuff here, and rather a lot that has absolutely nothing to do with hippies. Hats off to Edgar Broughton and Here & Now, real heroes of their times.

Has anyone mentioned the Dead? Truckin or Cassady frinstance. Or Traffic, Hole in my Shoe or No Face, No Name, No Number. Or Dylan, Desolation Row or Highway 61, or perhaps 8 Miles High by the Byrds or even Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys.

what a long, strange trip it's been

Misty mountain hop by the zep has to be my favourite- the sentiment is definitely there but you lot can squabble over their bona fide hippy credentials if you like.

Wasn't born to follow by the byrds as well, bonus points there for appearing in Easy Rider :)

I was sitting cross legged on the floor:

Not So Sweet Martha Lorraine - Country Joe and The Fish

At least ..... I think I was.
