Even now I can't prize this out of my CD player

GZA is a Genius.

i feel i should loathe him with every bone in body, but i do like Snoop. he makes me laugh. and i love his little dances when he has that hanky on his head.

GZA is a Genius
He's always on point I've heard. :)

Depends what an artist is and how we're analysing it. Producer-wise, Dr Dre has the widest range, Timbaland the most stunning, and the RZA the most original.

With MCs I tend to like those with distinctive voices, so Method Man, ODB, Snoop, Lil Jon, B'Real, Ludacris, Missy, Redman. Meth & Red's work together is something to behold because the interact so well whilst still being definitely indentifiable.

Of course good producers who can rap are few, Lil Jon and Jermaine Dupri springing to mind.

right, a proper list nowz I,m sat down

Busta Rhymes
Eric B and Rakim
KRS1
Ruthless Rap Assassins
Early J-Z
Stetsasonic
Schooly D
Wu Tang and offshoot solo cutz
LL Cool J
Rah Digga
Tim Dog
Public Enemy
Roots Manuva

As other people are doing lists, of late I'm loving...

Cadence (of Raw Produce, not the other one)
Atmosphere
Emanon
Black Moon (and most of Buckshot's other works)
Debaser
Clockwerk (last two both of Sandpeople Collective)
Brother Ali
Now On
K'Naan
Rhymesayers Entertainment in general
Decompoze
3 Melancoly Gypsies

:)

I fucking hate him. His music, his beats and umm everything about him to be honest. Was pissed he got mentioned but twice. oh dear.

Can't quite get into the coup either although i think that will pass sooner or later.

As for jay-z i loathe him with the exception of 4/5 songs but he is clearly one of the greatest. tis annoying.

Dude, some perspective:

someone's bigged up Tim Dog, ffs, and you're bitching about Aesop and Boots Riley? :D

As for favourite... I dunno, there are loads I like the odd track. Not so many I like pretty much everything. And if we're including groups here, some of these would be El-P/Company Flow, saian supa crew/explicit samourai, TTC, Spank Rock...

Gotta be Biggie for me, but special lurve for the irreplaceable ODB:

"this is what Wu Tang do, come with something beautiful for you, like high science. Einstein has a formula, Wu Tang has a formula. A part equals a square and all that stuff, you know what I’m saying? We have a formula, too. The formula is to attack everything at any given time. Just attack and shit like a waterfall, or like water in rapids or more like a fucking whirlpool, “Fuck you.”

I see things from a one-eye perspective and the four-eye perspective. The one-eye perspective is being able to see everything, as clear as my eye can see it.

Necro is without a doubt the most brutal, most violent and most sickest rapper I've ever heard, cant wait for his new album to drop!

haha, yer. gets a bit tedious after a while though I feel. His production is spot on though.

Probably Edan, (nice to see some fans here), Sage Francis, Nas... and of course Public Enemy.

Superb production on the first Non-Phixion record, but most of the rest I've heard was fairly samey... although I've not listened to anything much from Psycho-Logical for a couple of years.

Going back in time - all of the SugarHill acts
Public Enemy
De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest
DMX
Wu Tang

Today - its all toss exc ept for Kanye, Dizzee Rascal, Roots Manuva, n maybe Nas
