She was suffering from autoimmune disease...
Quite a shit one by the looks of it. It had caused problems in her lungs and kidneys and left a hole inside her mouth...along with causing anemia.
She'd have been dosed up on steroids and immunosuppressants both if which can cause intestinal problems along with other problems.
