family friendly hotels in lisbon-cascais area?

don't think i'll be doing my usual backpacking trek around the pensaos of northern portugal with a four-year-old mini owl in tow. anyone got any recommendations for more family friendly accommodation in the lisbon-cascais area? pools, beaches nearby, decent transport links but preferably not too overrun with lager guzzling brit tourists. also any recommendations for travel agencies specialising in this area? most of the high street ones seem to be retreating to the south
