Family accommodation in NYC

So we're going in August, be in nyc for 4 or 5 days of the trip. I'm looking at Airbnbs at the mo, up to about £200 a night, but be interested if anyone has any recommendations for vaguely affordable family stays - needs to have two separate bedrooms, and want to be within 30 mins public transport of central Manhattan (not expecting central on our budget!). Ta!

i stayed in one in Brooklyn, within 5 minutes walk of subway and a 25 minute ride into grand Central. only had 1 bedroom tho, with 2 pull out beds in living room. Paid less than £100 a night.
