Another clean sheet today. You wait all season, then two come along at once!

Hamlet into the 1st Round Proper after a goal from The Wizard gave us a 1-0 win at Dartford. Hopefully we'll get someone outside our own division in Monday's draw, for a change.

Yes. The last 2 games have been the opposite from the start of the season. Very good defence but limited attacking options. Not complaining though as it was good to witness a 1 0 away win. Well played to all the defence and Horlick and Wynter have made a big difference. We gave away lots of corners and freekicks on the edge of the boss but the defence held firm. There is change in style with Wynter and Marshall starting and Porter and Jeffrey out. This moves the emphasis to be more solid and defensive. Also although Lynch hasnt scored yet he chases everything down and keeps the pressure on their defence. Hopefully not Bowers away in the next round !!

I guess the draw will be announced around Monday lunchtime. No additional clubs will enter the draw at this stage, so assuming the number of regional groups isn't reduced, I reckon our list of prospective opponents will be as follows:

Cray Valley
Bowers & Pitsea
Sittingbourne
Potters Bar (currently sharing at King's Langley)
Uxbridge
Ashford United
Felixstowe & Walton United
Hanwell Town
Cambridge City (currently sharing at St Ives Town)
Hastings
Folkestone
Lewes
Horsham
Hendon
Canvey Island
Bishop's Stortford
Dover
Brentwood
Royston
Biggleswade Town
Barton Rovers
Chichester
Chertsey
Chatham
Hashtag
Hadley

7 grounds of interest to myself there, shall keep my fingers crossed 🤞

Just Sittingbourne, Felixstowe and Biggleswade plus the two short term groundsharers for me. 🤞

I've got a feeling they might reduce the number of regional pools for this round, so there may be a few others sneaking into our pot, plus there was an odd number of ties in the South East last time so at least one winner has to move in or out.

Some fine saves there. The keeper looks good!
He's currently 4th choice at Luton, but when you look at their squad and who the other 3 are it's pretty stiff competition. However, he'll have the experience of training with them and there must be an opportunity for someone of his age to climb the pecking order over the next couple of years. I reckon we've done well to get him.

Massive disruption on local train services for the Hashtag Trophy game, and indeed for the whole of next week. Make sure to check details if travelling via East Dulwich or Denmark Hill:

JBW serves a 1 match suspension. The good news is Sam German will probably be fit enough to replace him:

Well, there's still the London Senior Cup!

Hamlet lost 5-3 on kicks from the penalty mark, after Kresh had equalised deep into stoppage time:

We're now without a league fixture in 3 weeks time, as Lewes won a shootout 8-7, having come from 0-2 down with Alfie Allen equalising in stoppage time, so that game will end up on a midweek evening.

Didn't have much to offer going forward today, needed a midfield general to dictate the game and start attacks.

Oli Lynch is undoubtedly a talented footballer, but he doesn't seem able to get into goal scoring positions, and fluffed his one big chance from 5 yards in the first half.

Didn't really see their goal but it seemed a bit of a freak incident. Our equaliser had plenty of controversy which the YouTubers would have been rubbing themselves in glee about. Their centre defender was told to leave the pitch because he was bleeding from a head wound - which he was furious about, then we scored from the resulting corner.

In the end, despite all their comedy acting up for their virtual fans on the camera, they nailed five quality penalties for the win.

Nice team, shame they have no fans in real life, because they more than matched us on the park.

Was a dreadful game, especially the first half. Hashtag deservedly took the lead in the second half. Looked like an error of judgement from Horlick to come out for a ball that the striker got to first.

The goal at least spurred us into some sort of action, although I didn't see a goal coming. I wasn't behind the goal so didn't understand why their centre half had to leave the pitch for the corner we scored from. If he was bleeding then it's fair enough though.

Hashtag probably deserved the win. We were toothless for the large majority of the game. Hopefully a few of the injured players will be back soon as we need to find more of a threat going forward.

I found that a strange game. I personally thought the last 30-ish minutes were very entertaining, despite the result. I suppose it was the low stakes of the FA Trophy.

It was remarkable just how whingey and unlikeable Hashtag were. They seemed genuinely unsettled at the prospect of playing in front of a crowd, and reacted like they'd won at Galatasaray away rather than in a ground half-full of semi-interested day-trippers. I've never seen so much ear-cupping my life.

Worth bearing in mind for the league fixture, if nothing else.

Nice to see some passion behind the goal as a result of it, thought the whole scene quite entertaining myself.

While Hand is out, I think that rather than playing Porter in the link role between the midfield and striker, which does not work, it would be worth putting Lynch there and using Mills as the front man. Lynch seens to have bundles of energy, good first touch and pace but at the moment lacks the finishing touch which Mills has. Also their combined aerial ability would be good for set pieces .

Max pics!
