That looks like just the job for camping
We have one of these double inflatable matress and sleeping bag in one thingies I could bring if you like? I'm not using it...

Only trouble is the pump we got for it (the one advertised with it on Argos ) doesn't have a nozzle that fits, but if someone has enough puff or a better pump it should be fine. It was very comfy. :)

is the nozzle too small? wrap gaffer round it till it fits.
oh, I made 17k and didn't notice :)

get well soon shirl...were you the shirl that was at glasto? I dunno. get well anyway :)

Yep, it was me at Glasto :)

I've got a single camp bed that I think will work better than a blow up so I'm thinking I'll bring that.

Thanks for the offer chuck, I'm going to risk my camp bed. I might have a trial sleep on it this week.

By the way, my brother has ticket for Endorse It for sale for the BARGAIN price of £50 (the original price was £75+£3 postage). He can't make it any more *sob*.

Anyone interested, let me know!

Phew! I just got e-mail confirmation that my tickets are safely back at Endorse-It HQ and I'll be able to collect them at the main gate.

Excitement is mounting now!

Have to start thinking about what to pack, as I'm not an experienced festival hand as most of you lot. Knowing gergl, he'll probably travel with just the clothes he's wearing and rely on the cider to keep him warm, but I need some more creature comforts.

zora:

tshirt socks and pants for every day
2 jumpers (you may well need to wear both at the same time)
2 trousers (as many pockets as possible)

tracksuit bottoms and comfy top for the trip home - NOT TO BE WORN AT THE FESTIVAL!

tbh, the rest is easy - you've been to sunsound, you know what you need when you're outdoors and munted :)

zora:

plenty of t shirts
loads of undies
even more loads of socks - dry socks are very very important!
Good solid waterproof boots
wet weather gear
hot weather gear
cold weather gear

obviously some items will come into more than one of the above categories so it needn't be as much as it looks

lots and lots of socks!

I usually bring a full back pack, most of which consists of a duvet and two pillows so you can tell how few clothes I bring. Usually four or five t shirts, one or two hoodies, multiple boxers, my coat and LOTS AND LOTS OF SOCKS!

Other stuff - gaffer tape, torch, batteries, first aid kit including painkillers, plasters etc, money, stash, camera, spare mobile phone battery (charged), sun cream, wet wipes

I cannot stress enough - bring FUCKLOADS OF SOCKS!

Have a good time, be sure to tell me all about it when you get back :)

^^^ Heh! You twose are sweet!:)

I was just angling for someone to post up a handy checklist. ;)

Socks are most certainly on my list, not only lots of them but also very warm and woolly ones!

But I'll also need my penknife, and my tin mug, and my picnic pie and and....

*gets excited again*

Genuinely Waterproof Tent, surprising how many people think a 20 quid tent from argos will keep them dry if it rains.
Blow up bed.
Sleeping bag
Head torch, essential for using loos at night.
Wellies/Boots
Water proof jacket/poncho
Water proof trousers
Tooth brush
Sunscreen
Sun Hat and woollie hat if no hoodie.
Cheap Shades
Hoodie or Warm jumper
Clothes

To try to cut back on the inevitable " when will my tickets be delivered" emails........
If you bought tickets after 26th July ie 27th July onwards, they will be available to you on the gate. Please bring a receipt of your transaction and a form of photo ID. tickets will be released to the person who bought them, so please make sure this person is with you. :)

^ I haven't done this before, so these are very helpful lists. :)

Cheers for the information again.

In the pm you sent me it said "Please bring a print out" which I read as "Please bring a pint*":D

*which I know I promised you for prompt dealing with my enquiry:)

Booze
Beans
Some money in case you run out of any of the above
A hoodie in case it gets cold
A tent of some kind, unless you can improvise one with some bin bags and a couple of sticks
Your ticket.

Anything else is just dead weight...:D

I like Yossarian's list but I'm not quite that minimalistic!!!

I'm all for travelling light so here's my list:

camera
2 pairs of socks: one for wellies, one for normal shoes
knickers, one per day
wellies
flip flops
trainers
1 pair of trousers/1 pair of shorter trousers in case it gets warm and a couple of tops
2 jumpers, in case one gets wet
waterproof jacket -> waterproof trousers are cool if you have any (I do:p)
sun hat
toothbrush/toopaste
torch
tent and related tent stuff
towel
cloth for wiping the tent clean when packing it all up
bottle opener
bank card
car
Mation and Sunray :)

Considering the interest my ticket is attracting, and my impending unemployment - it might be easier to get value for my ticket and just fucking go.

balbi - we have maybe 2 people on our board who are thinking about going, but don't yet have tickets. If you're serious about selling I'll ask if you like?

PM me, but no reply will be forthcoming until I get home tonight and check a few things.

Fuck me, that's written in 'work email language'.... :(

Edited to add: there's a fair few on ebay at the minute and all, many going at face value.
