They're too expensive, I just can't justify it as we are going on holiday at the end of August. :(

Perhaps next time. :)

It just sounds like so much fun and I want to see firky in a tent.

So you don't miss out.

If anyone is looking for a sleeping bag Asda are selling double ones for £19.99. I didn't check to see if they zipped together though.

Anyway you would be able to (or would want to) pack the kids off for a weekend and come on your tod? :)

There's a lot you don't know about me firky. :D

I will make you laugh, get tipsy on wine, flatter you a bit and then you'll sing like a bird. There are no secrets that can't be unlocked by a dandy like myself

Yeah, it worries me a little. But I suppose you have to try everything once......

And if I hate it, there's bound to be a B&B somewhere nearby! :D

:hmm:

Me and Madamv only live 40 mins away and our husbands would love a home cooked meal in return for a comfy bed :p

G'wan moo - a weekend away from the kids? You can do that!:D I'm going by myself too.

I can't felix! They'd want to come and I can't afford the tickets for all of us, plus kennel fees for the dog, plus petrol and luxury camping gear! :D

Next year for (almost) definite though. I'll tell them it's our summer holiday!

I want to see lots of pics though and reports of what firky got up to..... :)

61 pages!!!!!!!! I only looked the other day and its leapt another 10. There's a couple of bits that need nudging back onto track.....
1 - The site isn't low lying. The camping in particular is at the top of a gentle slope. The whole thing is also built on a chalk strata, so I'm reliabley informed that flooding shouldn't happen.
2 - Sorry but no naked flames - gas cookers are fine, but Stigs V Kettle ( although it sounds like it won't be making an appearance :p) and any sort of BBQ could cause the neighbouring crops to catch fire - it's also the reason we don't have camp fires

Anyways, the good news is that we are up on ticket sales compared to this time last year and we haven't started the flyering yet!!

Wreckon ( Mutoid Waste spin off) are doing their thang - you can see it beforehand at Shangri-la at Pilton. Speaking of which Pronghorn will be on the saddlespan stage every day and in Shangri-la probably Thursday or Friday. The Highliners are also playing everyday on the sensation seekers stage.

I don't know where you all live, but other goings on involving EiiD local bands in June are ....

WImborne Folk Festival 14th/15th June- WHite Hart Inn, Pronghorn, Boot Hill All Stars ( my band) , WHo's Afear'd ( Giraffe toting buskers from last year) & Kris The Town Crier

Boot Hill All Stars - Bradford on Avon Festival - June 20th

so if not at any of these, then in a field in sunny August :)

The downside being that you need a diamond tipped drill and a sledge hammer to get your tent pegs more than an inch into the ground :)

I suppose that's also why it isn't possible to dig a soakaway around the water tap.

Am getting proper excited about this even though it is months away

Got laid off today (not enough work, although I suspect its cos I took a week off to do stuff around the house for me old dear) so I am gonna have to look for another job if I want to go and pray that they give me the time off .
