It was a mess, despite the best efforts of all involved. It was a few old Lee Perry basslines (Jungle the first, I think?) dragged out ad nauseam because nobody knew when to stop, with Perry mumbling over the top. I've seen Perry a dozen times, and this was the worst by a long margin. None of which is a criticism of the people involved (even Perry - his band fucked up, not him)..

Everyone's entitled to their opinion - I personally didn't see the set, but did watch the crowd from a distance and they seemed to enjoy it. I've heard a couple of negatives about it , but a lot more positives - like I said I wasn't there though. Got him on stage and ran off to run the DD stage ( where I was supposed to be). In fairness to LSP, the band are a separate entity ( although booked by him) and he was livid.

I saw most of the set, but got bored and confused and wandered off towards the end. I was nowhere near as trashed at that point as I was at other times either.

I've seen him a fair few times, and thought that this was easily the best. Previous times I had seen him it had been a fairly lifeless and dull set. I really saw something new this time.

another new thang for EiiD -

New bar for Endorse it .

Morock The Casbar –

Imagine exotic dusky nights, full of Parkstone promise, set to the background of the choicest punk tunes. A themed traditional British Punk pub, blended with an Eastern flavour. Inn-cider information suggests a Harem of beverage selection - Endorse it Elapid Snakebite ( it’s a bit of a mouthful!), 6-Belly Dance Ale( ride the ripples with this Dorset Beauty ), Mustapha Leak Lager ( once you pop you can’t stop) & Eunuch alcohol free drinks ( with the balls taken out ).

And here’s your chance to put your stamp on this new addition to our fine festival. We would like to offer you the chance to put in your own submissions to describe the scrumpy cider that we will have on sale. You need to come up with a name and description in keeping with those above. The winner will receive an EiiD 2008 T-shirt, which will be claimed at the festival and getting their winning entry up on the board of dreams behind the bar. Please email entries into competition@lgofestivals.com putting the word “ scrumpy” in the subject line. Competition closes on 1st July and judges decisions are final.

blimey - my husband and I have just decided that we're going to come to this :D

lots of youse have said we'll enjoy it, if we don't you'll be in trouble

we're looking forward to goldblade ;)

I'm watching a youtube clip of last year and it's just like my teenage years all over again - I don't know if my body can cope with all that business :D

with one or two exceptions, it seems to be the same bill every year :D
We are having a bit of a change around this year, although there will always be some familiar faces. Partly because bands ask to come back - and that's the headliners, not the smaller acts. However, we've got a few nice new headliners in the bag, so watch this space!!

well I haven't been to a festival in six years and this is the only one that's tempted me out of hibernation. and it's little so isn't gonna be daunting like a mega festival.

we'll look after you shells :)
