If only people had spent their time and energy making silly pictures to share on the internet instead of getting out there and engaging then Trump wouldn't have happened.
Oh wait...
Getting out there and engaging - OK do you mean flying over to the USA, and trying to appeal to the vast rust-belt or bible-bashing fraternities that voted for him?
Explain what more UK folk could have done to prevent Drumpfs victory?
I for one made a concerted effort to engage as many people as possible, on US based right-wing sites and other virtual hellholes and comments sections of news articles, to highlight how much of a lying cunt he is, and by trying to break down the inevitable outcome of his possible win, but you have to do what you can within one's means.
I was also instrumental in presenting video clips illustrating his hypocrisy and his lies to an international TV audience, so one could argue I did whatever was in my (rather considerable at the time) power to present the relevant people with facts.
But you know how the word "facts" has come to mean a lot of alternative things lately.
My time and energy was well spent getting out and engaging. Trump was sadly inevitable.
You seem to underestimate the absolute hatred that a great many Americans feel towards Hillary Clinton, a factor that resulted in half the electorate not even bothering to vote. Only 25% actually voted for Trump, and he lost the popular vote as you know. I think if this thread may serve as one more tiny chisel chipping away at his credibility online (not that U75 has the internet audience share it used to enjoy) then it might contribute in a miniscule way towards the further decline of his mental health. Apart from that - what do you suggest could have been done by UK folk to get out there and engage??
