what's my mission now?...
Maybe it's just some kind of bet, but the lapdog MP for Bristol East seems to be referencing song titles throughout this month on her blog.

So far, this has included songs by the likes of Half Man Half Biscuit, The Fall, Dead Kennedys, Magazine, Dinosaur Jnr, Public Enemy, New Order, The Clash, Super Furry Animals, Pavement, The Smiths, etc.

Blimey... -it must be one long Festive Fifty 'round at hers. :D

She supports ID Cards, voted for 42 days detention etc, and against an investigation into the Iraq War.

-Definitely proof that you shouldn't judge people by their musical tastes! :hmm:

The full list so far...

Elvis Costello
The Smiths
Dead Kennedys
The Clash
Dinosaur Jnr
REM
Magazine
The Isley Brothers
Lloyd Cole & The Commotions
Public Enemy
The Fall
Junior Murvin
Cliff Richard
Billy Holiday
New Order
Pet Shop Boys
Bob Dylan
Radiohead
Morrissey
Super Furry Animals
The Rolling Stones
Half Man Half Biscuit
Sex Pistols
Was Not Was
Pavement
The Specials
Oasis
Dio (??)
Abba
Human League
Bill Withers
The Verve
Marvin Gaye
Billy Bragg (trad)

I suppose she could be genuine...

Or she could be trying to impress her constituents with her with-it, hip tastes. :hmm:

There's only one way to settle this! With a dance off!

:D

Yeah, she's trying to be down with the ki-... -er, no hang on, they can't vote for her. ;)

-Oh well, she's clearly going for that wayward 30-45 age demographic instead...

(-I reckon those probably are her genuine music tastes though, tbh.)

NO WAY would I risk a dance off with Kerry; looking at that list, she's clearly put the hours in down at the eighties student disco... :D

Anyway, Kerry McCarthy loses points: unlike her, I do actually live in the Bristol East constituency... :hmm:
