The rules for entry into Cyprus are changing day by day. I strongly recommend that if you're planning to visit the Island within the next six weeks that you keep an eye on www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cyprus

I wouldn't risk any travel outside the uk at the moment until the end of this is in sight. If you have a holiday booked i would assume you are not going. Claim on insurence if you can.

Brits have been advised not to travel anywhere abroad for an initial period of 30 days. This will extend.

Nobody is going to Cyprus.

Apart from countries restrictions (both on entry into the country and on what you can do once in the country), there is the risk of airlines, travel agencies, etc going bust and your travel insurence might be invalidated if you go.

A two-week ban on flights from 28 countries, including the UK and Greece, has been announced by Cyprus.

The measure will come into effect from 1am GMT on 21 March, an official statement said. It does not affect cargo flights.

The island has already enacted stringent entry requirements, effective from 16 March, barring anyone into the island, including Cypriots, without a medical certificate that they are clear of coronavirus. Those who do arrive are placed in compulsory quarantine in a government-supervised facility for two weeks.

The east Mediterranean island has reported 49 cases.
