Cyclist killed in Brixton

I suspect it must have been scheduled long ago, but the shitty stretch of road where the cyclist died is behind resurfaced now.
Ah it's that why buses are on diversion >Brixton Hill>Brixton Water Lane?

Cyclist killed in Brixton

RIP Earl Martin Reynolds.

His brother was there at lunchtime when I walked past and we spoke for a minute or two. I hope others also stopped to give a kind word and wish the family strength.

RIP Mr Reynolds

Rip Mr Reynolds

RIP Mr Reynolds.

This late gentleman looks sadly familiar from when I used to work at POW. RIP.

As identified on 15 October 2024, "Cyclist killed in Brixton" is The Late Earl Reynolds who moved to Brixton as a child and grew up with his family a couple of hundred meters from where he ended up being killed nearly 57 years later. He was educated at Effra Junior School, only a few minutes' from where he met his death, and then at Kennington Boys' School.

Mr Reynolds and his family were well-known to many people in and around Brixton.

The thanksgiving service for the life of Mr Reynolds was held at the Brixton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Santley Street yesterday, and is available below for those who knew him or wish to remember him:
