His brother was there at lunchtime when I walked past and we spoke for a minute or two. I hope others also stopped to give a kind word and wish the family strength.
As identified on 15 October 2024, "Cyclist killed in Brixton" is The Late Earl Reynolds who moved to Brixton as a child and grew up with his family a couple of hundred meters from where he ended up being killed nearly 57 years later. He was educated at Effra Junior School, only a few minutes' from where he met his death, and then at Kennington Boys' School.
Mr Reynolds and his family were well-known to many people in and around Brixton.
The thanksgiving service for the life of Mr Reynolds was held at the Brixton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Santley Street yesterday, and is available below for those who knew him or wish to remember him:
