Cafe Kino, the worker’s co-op and community/activist hub on Stokes Croft, is in danger of closing down due to increased business costs. A crowd funder has been set up to keep it going:
“This is our last chance to save Cafe Kino,” said team member Lauren, who said that Cafe Kino “has been a cornerstone of Bristol’s alternative community for over 20 years”.
Lauren said: “If you’re familiar with Kino, you’ll know it’s much more than a place to eat; it’s a vibrant hub for creativity, activism and connection.
“However, like many small businesses, we’ve been struggling financially for a while, and now we need your support to keep our doors open.”…
Lauren said: “By supporting this campaign, you’re not just helping to save a cafe, you’re standing up for Bristol’s independent spirit and resisting the tide of gentrification and homogenisation in our city.”
