frogwoman

No amount of cajolery...
just getting this one in ...

predicitions anyone?

i hope turkey wins but realistically, i think it will probably be 3-1 or 2-1 to croatia ...

Grrr at stabby stabby no mate turks. I really hope coratia turn them over but have no real idea which way it will go.

Well the Croatian media are reporting the game as being a really tough challange which bodes well for a Croatian team who have been known in the past to think they can just stroll through 'lesser' teams, only to come well unstuck.

For me its Croatias to lose and if they start slowly and let the Turks bring the game to them I think their quality will eventually show and they could win the game by a two or more clear goals.

2-0 to the Turks, with a couple of sendings-off for the Croats and gratifying pictures of huge Croatian men crying into their dishcloth-style replica shirts.

when do you think the goals will be scored?? first half or second?

i think the game tomorrow is going to be quite tight tbh

Ooh, you got me there. They'll go like the clappers in the first half, but it'll be only 1-0 to the Turks at that point. They'll finish it off late in the second.

I reckon :D

I've been wrong about every match so far though.

i havent but to be fair ive only watched gremany vs portugal and a bit of holland vs france a few days ago ...

I would agree but think that will suit the Croats better, especially as the game goes on.

I reckon 0-0 at half time, then Croatia to score at least two in the second half. Might even have a punt on that.

Turkey have got quite a few injuries i.e. Servet Cetin & Emre Gungor - i think he's out of the tournament with a knee injury and of course suspensions i.e. Goalkeeper Volkan Demirel - a 2 match ban for his push on the Czech giant Jan Koller. Plus Defensive Midfielder Mehmet Aurelio (who's had a good tournament imo). So the vastly experienced Recber Rustu will fill in for Volkan & Ayhan Akman (possibly?) for Aurelio.

Croatia will be mostly at full strentgh, Ivan Rakitic declared himself fit for this match. Although reserve defender Dario Knezevic (knee injury) and striker Igor Budan (foot injury) are both ruled out of the tournament.

You can bet the atmosphere from both sets of fans will be very boisterous and passionate. The initial impression is the Croats should beat Turkiye quite comfortably. But the Turks have proved to have great spirit, a never give up attitude & should not be under-estimated. It Should be another good match later on tonight -**Fingers crossed**

So are yellow cards not written off after the group stage in this then?

No they have changed it until after the quarters, so if someone gets one in the semis who already has one won't miss the final. Bit stupid in my point of view, if they get that many yellow cards they should miss the final.

God i hate Alan Hansen. Hate listening to him. Unless one of the big countries are playing he goes 'this is pathetic/boring to watch, blah blah blah'. The games not been great, but certainly not boring.

It's been a bit of a strange match so far. Thanks to circumstance Turkey have actually put out a very attacking team which is atm playing a very compact, defensive formation. Nobody seems to be making any runs and with Nihat really being a No. 10, they've got no penetration in the box.

The Croatians just seem subdued. Apart from Modric and their left flank they have been very disappointing.
