Umbrella thread title, as perhaps it will be useful for other, more respectably codey questions...

Anyone got something that I can add to one of the 3 text files that constitute Wordle, that would present an input box into which I could enter either a Wordle number or date to play?

I don't want to use an archive site, with their ads and links to other stuff. (I don't mind playing them, but want to get rid of any extraneous gumf for teaching porpoises.)

It is not now and never will be meant- or used by me for commercial use or gain.

I've now realised that, implicit in my question and thinking, was the hope that someone would have what I need without any risk of me seeing future words, so I can keep playing for myself, aside from teaching

But I will have a look anyway
