Classic Children's TV Tonight 7pm

I wish that they'd mention the "little known" children's TV programs that I used to watch:

  • Crystal Tipps and Alistair
  • Issi Noho
  • Hector's House
  • Play Away
  • Pipkins
  • Tales of the Riverbank
  • Bleep and Booster
  • Camberwick Green/Chighley/Trumpton,
  • Fireball XL5
  • Noggin the Nog
  • Mary, Mungo and Midge
  • The Herb Garden
  • Pogles' Wood
  • The Secret Service
  • The Flower Pot Men
  • Pinky and Perky
  • The Sooty Show
  • The Woodentops

Where are the documentaries about those, eh...?

Someone will be along soon to quote the bollocks about Captain Pugwash (their was NO Seaman Stains and the cabin boy wasn't called Rodger).
True. But try a Tractor Ted episode when they are jack-hammering fence poles into the ground ... "Les is having a problem getting it straight" had me and DiL sniggering while watching with my 18 month-old GS.

7pm Blue Peter
7:25 Bagpuss
7:40 The Clangers
7:50 Ivor the Engine

9pm The Golden Age of Kids TV doc

(in case anyone else was wondering)
Subtitle: guess the age of BBC4's commissioning editors ;)

Look forward to the true golden age of kids TV, otherwise known as "EVERYTHING IS AN ADVERT, BUY OUR TOYS, TELL YOUR PARENTS TO BUY OUR TOYS!!!".

Ahhhh, good times :)

Noone ever remembers Star Fleet.

The space funeral got me when I was about ten. And the hairy guy from Queen did all the music for it too. It was far better than Terrahawks
