Can you help age this coin please?

It matches the image of a groat from 1272-1307 on the wikipedia page, so it's either a groat from 1272-1307 or a reproduction of the same.

defo got some age to it, the images on both sides are quite rubbed and pitted

If that's a genuine coin and not a repro, you have a great find indeed. It's from a time when coins were made by hammering rather than milling. The metal is usually thin and was often clipped round the edges by people who wanted to save a bit of the silver but still spend the coin.

It's not that Edward I groat - different portrait look at the hair.

I've had a look at a few sites, this has the best description of what's written on the coin and it all matches up.

Deffo a groat, edward the 1st

I have a feeling though that the one I have is a copy/reproduction, although it's deffo silver.

Examine the edge with a magnifying glass to look for modern manufacturing marks, a seam if its been cast.

ah, it has wear in exactly the same places as this repro, shame.
