Lots of HA and other patch club blokes all looking moody. Very polite though and absolutely no trouble. No tent thefts.

Did you really think there might be? You'd have to be VERY stupid to pull a stunt like that at an Angels do. You wouldn't walk away.

Going to bike things does kinda spoil you for other stuff, coz you get used to being able to just leave stuff lying.

It did indeed feel very safe and friendly. It was also the very whitest place I have been in my entire life I think there were 5 punters with brown skin including me, and 3 or 4 stall holders. Happily, no hostility though (it had been a vague worry for me, despite my pre-attendance research that said it would be fine), bar one bloke on the bar who wouldn't serve me.

Met loads of great, friendly people though. Had a good dance. Was absolutely awed by the sight and sound (oh my goodness the fucking SOUND) of a jet engine on the drag strip. Lots of fun watching people do the quarter mile on all sorts, put-putting or vroom-vrooming, or the oh-my-god-that's-a-747.

And I was very proud of TopCat who remained strong in the face of his upcoming drug test, despite our improbably bubbly tent neighbour who insisted on showing him every kind of apparently delicious weed he couldn't have.
