Brick Lane Coffee make total twats of themselves with vile sign

If you look at their twitter pictures you will find several stupid pictures of breasts, what seems to resemble a gingerbread bukake scene and more than one picture in which they are calling people crackies. Nice.

So it looks like the work of one knobhead, probably the owner. It's just a bit immature really. He should have grown out of the tits and laugh at drug addicts stuff if the place has been around since 1999. There's a way of being silly and maybe even a bit rude without being as crass as that. I remember seeing the "come happy, leave edgy" slogan years ago and it made me smile. He probably just needs to be a touch nicer and he'd be alright.

One thing that I thought was disgusting about the "Cereal Killer" thing a bit ago was that they thought it was alright to have pictures of Myra Hindley et al up on the walls. Cool knows no boundaries does it?
exactly, fucking disgraceful. using people who have have tortured and raped and killed people as some "cool" layout when their victims still walk amongst us is a disgrace.

How about this sign from the same company?
that sign is like totally fucking mexico.

the what now?

London is getting worse and worse as a place if what I read on here is anything to go by. Signs on the Tube telling people not to give money to beggars since when?
Never noticed signs on the tube but at Liverpool St they put it over the tannoy in the mornings.

You don't get much edgier than drinking coffee fo sho.

Well, it's saying thick people live in poor areas so there's a Boris Johnson cereal box effect going on, so yeah.

I'm thinking more of how lowbrow is usually applied- to arts and entertainments. Supposedly prole things being labelled lowbrow whereas listening to Verdi = highbrow.

Where such outdated and bollocks demarcations have utility in an age when lumpenz like me get to download and watch Hamlet...well. It only really has utility as an insult. And perhaps thats all it ever did have

Am I the only one who has visited them? I have a loyalty card... :hmm: They are puerile and silly! Go visit them!

No, you're not the only one - I go in there sometimes too and I have a loyalty card :hmm::D they do nice coffee.

I must admit I have never noticed the signs outside.
