After her performance in the final Shanaze should be looking at going back to the velodrome, very poor imo. The idea that you can prepare for the olympics by not racing is stupid. I wonder if her sponsors have been behind it, like if she was injured beforehand and missed it they'd not get their exposure?

Great show from Liam, shame it fell apart in the final.

It's so random you might as well have stone, paper, scissors.

There's an element of luck but if anyone was going to take charge of the final it was Strombergs. Experience counts and was his big advantage. Even though Connor Fields was looking like the man to beat a few people I know predicted he wouldn't have it in the most important race.

Double wank. This shouldn't be in the Olympics. It's so random you might as well have stone, paper, scissors. Get rid of this rubbish and bring back the individual sprint and the Madison.

Pajon won all her races in the event. She's a World Champion. It can't be that random but for such a short race there's too many things outside of the riders control that could go wrong to make it seem fair.

On the plus side the mayor of Medellin has promised to build a new track in the city named after her.
