There are two critically important reasons why you should pay attention to this Blaksox Transform initiative about rising up black voice in the drug policy arena.
1. Drug enforcement in the UK provides the cover for the criminalisation of black communities. The number one reason cited by Police officers for #StopAndSearch is suspicion of possession of Cannabis. The war on drugs is a war on us and we are no where to be seen at the Drug Policy tables.
2. Did you know the Britain is the worlds largest producer of medical marijuana? Yet how many black suppliers are there? Vitually none. The legalisation of Cannabis is almost inevitable and the experience of the African American community is that they were not prepared, so when it finally did happen they sat back and watched Big Tobacco sweep in and corner the market.
