Bering Sea meteor December 2018

I didn't notice the coverage of this at the time, but this article says that a meteor, possibly a couple of metres across, exploded with 176KT energy above the Kamchatka Peninsula.

It hit the atmosphere at 72,000mph. :cool:

Meteor blast over Bering Sea was 10 times size of Hiroshima

Annoyingly they didn't publish a photo of this meteor (probably because no-one saw it), but used one of the Chelyabinsk fireball.

We could do with more like this. Liven things up a bit.
