They still do, although it's now owned by the main ITV, but IIRC still maintains the CITV branding, like UTV does in NI, despite also being owned by ITV.

STV remains the only independent company in the network.

Didn't realise it ran 10 years. I think i watched the odd episode but can't remember much about it now.

It was easygoing, Sunday night viewing and not the worst of its sort, as Gentlegreen amply illustrates.

It was mostly filmed in Jersey though also across the South East of England at various times. Fun fact, his car was too big for the country lanes in Jersey and he had to stand up in his seat to see over the hedges.

It was quite a brave series sometimes, they killed off his girlfriend and he was a teetotal alcoholic for much of the series. They occultist episode was great.

Dallas was great. Seemed far fetched at the time, like escapist nonsense. But a new light was thrown on it by the Bush family, living on their Texas ranch, patriarch George Snr running the CIA before going into politics and becoming President, folksy but steely matriarch Barbara, squabbling older brothers George Jr and Jeb with their rival political careers, dimwitted playboy Jr winning the Presidency, younger brother Neil with his shifty business dealings, Dorothy in her unhappy marriage. Shit, looking at that lot Dallas seems more real than the realist social realism. Fucks sake, I woke up in the shower and found Donald Trump is still President.
