Belgian/Euro rave (91) for the weekend

Just reminded of this

Dont think this guy is from Europe - US I think? - but in 1991 under a different pseudonym, Turntable Hype, he put out a bunch of tunes on Dutch label Go Bang! and this track is 1991 also and fits in here

Danski! 2022 around the corner...this only means one thing...its time to give up the treasures of your 1991 record box :D
If I can find it! I have stopped working on my room (over a year ago) as it’s pretty much caused a mental breakdown. But as soon as I’m in a position to play records, I will :)

ah shit, well apologies for the peer pressure - much love mate - i know you've taken on a lot there. best wishes for the year ahead - may it be filled with orchestral stabs and hoover basses

Always thought this sounded like Quadrophonia heard though cans with a dodgy wire on one side.

Was giving the Trance Trax album* a re-listen for the '91 albums thread the other day. Some good tracks on there.

* really just two EPs put together

following indelibleinks post above ive been looking through that label a bit
jesus h ... i think this is the nastiest 1991 belgian tune ive ever heard
comically placed as a B2 on the record, usually the spot the too mellow for the dancefloor tunes get put

that tunes too much

the A1 track of that 12 featured in the classically awkward club scene in Basic Instinct :D

Not strictly on Belgian Rave thread topic, but lots of new remixes of 'the classics' lately - is this 'A Thing'?
Paul Dakeyne just reworked Yeke Yeke too, I saw the other day - done a good job too.

I think its been bubbling along for years now....like that Dominator Remix is from 4 years ago...
DnB is always refixing, remixing, rebuilding old tunes, not all of them classics even!
Im a sucker for them tbh! Ive got loads of house and DnB ones. ShadowChild does some great oldskool ones ... jsut heard this for the first time last week, not his best but its pretty good on a system

the whosampled page for Egyptian Empire - Horn Track is amazing, some incredible sample sources on there
Including this naughty Belgian cut = will recognise it as that last squelchy breakdown from the Horn Track

Its 1992 so a little past peak 1991 sound but still, strong EP

turns out this is a frank de wulfe tune - madness

made two EPs with that name the other one is strong too - catchy bangers

all 4 tracks smash
