Shame you cant make it, but maybe aim to line an Escot trip up for 2011? :)

Enjoy your break anyway ...

We got our tickets finally, but then we booked train tickets for Exeter the night before, without any clue where we were going to sleep. Now it turns out there isn't thge usual gig going on the night before. :(

Don't know whether to spend the night in Exeter anyway, in an expentsive B&B, or find a campsite on the way to the festie somewhere.

Drag there's not a gig on Thursday night. We enjoyed last year's a lot.

This year we're staying at a hostel up the hill from last years gig. £15pp. Seems reasonable, and I'm sure we'll find something to do.

I was having a chat with my friends the other night and we all agreed one of the best things about BD is that you arrive on the day the festival starts. You've had a good night sleep, you're really excited and you just want to get into the action. All this leads to an epic Friday.

As fun as doing spomething the night before sounds I'd wake up on Friday with a hangover and I want at least one day at the festival not feeling shite.

It certainly does, it's the point I start getting excited. Still seems an age away though..........

Is anyone staying at the Great Western hotel by the station? Me and the better half will be, as usual. We could meet up and work our way through the real ale bar. Too much choice!

I'd not thought about going down the day before, but we do have the day off :hmm:

No we don't that's another week  :D

We are going to be doing your actual bona fide camping, in a tent and everything.

This is because I couldn't be bothered to drive all the way to Exeter in the camper van, so we decided to get the train.

I'm all excited! :D

I've just put the tent up in the garden to make sure it hasn't broken or gone mouldy since we last used it, a couple of years ago. I've started planning food and rucksack packing.

It's still a month away. :D

We were going to, but when we saw that it cost 75% of the actual festival ticket, we decided to stay with mates in Ottery instead.

Another day camping? I dunno, it would be nice.
We are going straight on from the festival for two nights in the Forest nearby so already have the bonus of long weekend sorted. Not that excited about this festival at all. Not thinking about it much, not at all.

CHINRUB!

Well, me and some mates were on the reserve list to work the bar for this.. They got on the other day, I was a bit further down the list and so I've missed out.

I'm gutted :(

So if anyone knows anyway or anyhow I can gets me to this shindig I'd be most grateful??

Ed's gushing recommendation of this festi and my desire to do 'just one more festival' this year has made me work this.

I shall see people there I expect.
