Naah. It will all be good. Last year Glade blew me away with the charms of small festivals. And that I had to cram from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.
Looking forward to this. Lazy days, no work, lots of friends.

Don't know about that, each to their own etc., there's some pretty enjoyable acts to be seen in amongst it all I reckon ..
Just checked the Bimble Inn's MySpace and I'm reassured to find that this new venue, 'Dirty Davey's' looks like it's in addition to Bimble, not replacing it as I feared for a moment.
As I've just now remembered that someone mentioned earlier up, it looks like DD is in fact replacing the Spiegel Tent ...

Yeah, apparently DD will just be a straight swop for the PP. As I mentioned earlier I'm not overly happy about that, the PP was a good retreat, somewhere different plus it went on late and was good shelter in the rain.
I really hope there is more to DD then a Bandstand and a Real Ale bar, I want some other wierdness and late night messy business.
Ah well, we'll see.

We got a Post Office 'failed delivery' card today as well, we thought it might be Endorse It tickets but judging from this thread, it looks like it could well be for BD ones ....

Tickets arrived, sat in post office, got sent back to sender.
Keep an eye on that. I had a nightmare with glastonbury tickets one year because of this. I'd be surprised if you local office had already returned to sender after a few days, surely they have to leave it at least a week

and not a fiddly diddly bastard in sight
I have been, and there was good stuff on, but one afternoon we found ourselves considering how we quite liked The Proclaimers and how they were better than anything else on so far that day. which was a worry.
I was also subjected to Neck - they are "psycho-ceilidh" and probably the worst band ever to grace a stage (much, much worse than Goldblade). So if they're on again this year, you've been forewarned

I've been to every BD apart from the first and I can honestly say I can't rememeber one stand-out performance, I was hoping for sometjing special from Frank Turner last year but it was clearly the morning after the night before for him and the whole band.
Still, I'd never miss this festival for the world.

you should've seen the Alabama 3 acoustic set in 2006 - tore the roof off the fucker.
Would list some truly excellent BD performances from over the years -- that is, I would if I hadn't been too spangled at nearly all of them to remember much of them ...
