Beard grooming

No, not mountain man, needs to be tidy
Actually I just give it a go with the scissors every now and again and I find it does the job.

Just pull out the hair between two fingers and cut.

Not 100% perfect but not bad for 5 minutes work.

Might go to the barber if I wanted to go all out.

I use an electric trimmer to tame it down when it starts to look messy and feel uncomfortable then tidy up the sides/shape with a razor. It only takes about 10 minutes work every 10 days or so.

The last time I went to a Turkish barber, they set fire to my ears, so that’s a hard pass from me
I found that very strange the 1st time they did that , they also did a massage as well 🤔. I went to a Turkish place in Clapton for a few years, but got tired of all the faff involved . So returned to an old familiar place , Geno's in Stoke Newington , an old Italian place , now run by the son of the original owner , it opened in 1965 😎

Cunningly avoided the whole issue by not sporting any facial foliage until I hit my mid 20s. I do wish I could grow a gandalf beard though. Can barely muster a beppe Di Marco here

Having googled that I'd say that you're main problem is that it seems to not be up to the job, being a cheap Groomsman model.

Your beard looks like it'd be too much for that little thing, never mind any issues you might have with handing etc.

I use one of those Philips OneBlade and another I can't remember the brand of without going looking, Remington I think. Both very solid feeling.

You might be better with a set designed for shaving heads. Use a guard. Take most of it way and then tidy up with the Groomsman innit. Slowly until you're used to it.

I find it a pain in the arse doing this too and it's never as good as when you pay someone. I tend to just lose my temper with the beard and shave the lot off a few times a year.
