Is this a fox bark ?
I've never noticed them sounding like this before, but I only started sleeping in the back bedroom this past summer.
It seems to start up every sunset...

Yes. They are mating now. Sometimes they can sound like a woman screaming. When I lived in Hackney I heard what I thought was a woman screaming around midnight and went down to street but nobody there.
