Associated Press puts up loads of historical footage on YouTube

Worthwhile?.. I'm not so sure! Most of the footage is fairly mundane, but its footage I haven't seen before (or of events I didn't even know about).

Interesting report on radicals in Switzerland (1980)

Mayday 1978 in Greece. The video isn't great, but the description states that leftists and anarchists had a ruck. Anarchy in Greece was a relatively late development in comparison to the rest of Europe. 40 years later, the same fights are still happening.. In the video you can see a bunch of tanks/APCs on the streets..

Some intersting shots of Greece during the Junta

Huge amount of footage from British Movietone going back as far as 1895 also now online.

Cheers for the link. I still have my fingers crossed that the BBC might pull its finger out and digitize/open up its archives one day..
