Ask urbs' advice on those domestic tasks you just can't seem to do properly

Help me. I'm trying to clean a disgusting bath. I've tried Cif which has just sort of congealed and made it worse, then tried goo remover to get that off and nothing. Now chucked white vinegar in the tub full of warm water which seems to be helping a bit but have ran out of vinegar. Got most other cleaning essentials though. this whole saga's been going on a week now

This is the stuff I use it would probably kill you if put it on your chips but it has proved awesome for unblocking drains and shifting stubborn stains off stuff

Is CIF abrasive ?
My knackered 40 year old plastic bath never takes more than a bit of washing up liquid and a brush.
WUL is the only detergent / cleaning agent I use.
I use my bath for laundry and garden irrigation as well as very occasional bathing.

In the end I just dumped baking soda in warm water and used one of those sponges you use for washing up. Worked a treat.
