Arrested Development

I heard it got cancelled after Season 2 but a mate told me at the weekend that Season 3 was around somewhere, available to download. Fucking brilliant news, can't wait to see that.

I think I may have a new favourite episode of Seinfeld. It's always been The Soup Nazi but I've watched The Note a few times and it's great. George gets a massage from a man and gets very worried because "it moved". :D

I think the funniest Seinfeld I saw was The Comeback.

"George, the ocean called and they said they're running out of shrimp."

"The jerk store called, and they're running out of you."

Well, it was hilarious at the time. I'm kind of scared to watch it again in case the joke isn't so funny the second time round. But just about anything that comes out of George's mouth is comedy gold.

By the way, have you seen King of Queens? If you like Frank Costanza, this is recommended. Not because it's a particularly good sitcom – the one I watched was mediocre – but because Jerry Stiller is so funny.

Just a quick heads up for Jason Bateman fans - he plays a paticularly loathsome character with great relish in the film "The Ex"

The voiceover is Jason Bateman

umm from imdb

Ron Howard ... Narrator / ... (53 episodes, 2003-2006)

Jason Bateman is just the main character, and speaking about The Ex, i watched it yesterday very funny and amusing film, well worth seeing

'Girls with low self esteem'

I love it. Very funny.

I'm a HUGE Seinfeld fan, and watch the DVD's over and over and it doesn't stop being funny. Most of the episodes become funnier after repeat viewing.

Arrested is quite like this, I've watched the episodes quite a few times. There are so many jokes that you sometimes miss them.

And as for Curb, I fucking love it. I think it's just on a different level from everything else. Watched all the Curb DVD's loads of times too. There is a season 6 being filmed now I believe.

Fuck, I never knew Pete Burns was in AD!

Great news, though - only saw Jason Bateman the other day in (the rather good) "Juno" and wondered if they'd ever get round to doing an AD film..

I have been working my way through series 1 and 2 for the last few weeks and just ordered series 3.

I think this might be the best written comedy show I've ever seen, I absolutely love everything about it. The pace of the shows is spot on and there isn't a duff second anywhere in what I've seen so far, jokes are just coming at you left, right and centre.

I also really love how self-referential it is and the fact that it has David Cross in it, who is probably my favourite stand up in the world and has been for a while. I'm particularly loving his
Mrs Doubtfire turn from season 2
as my favourite thing from either series so far, especially the end of one of the episodes where him and Buster break down in tears :D

I honestly can't recommend this show highly enough, it's just very, very, very funny. It's another one where I think you need to give it a few episodes to get up to speed on some of the references to previous shows they keep dropping in and to "get" the show's sense of humour. Probably watching 3 episodes will let you know if it's your thing.

"I want something that says 'Daddy likes leather'"
"You mean leather daddy?"
"Are you telling me there is such a thing?"

Really?

Bah, it's working for me :(

Twas Tobias's combination analyst-therapist business card

Im so attracted to Gob its embarrassing.

I Love Lucile too :D The others get frequent mentions, but she creases me up just as much!

It genuinely made me angry how much of a rip off the Malcolm McDowell voice over on that shite is of the Ron Howard voice over on AD.
