Google maps isn't great, either. It's nowhere near as bad as Apple's offering but it doesn't seem to know the difference between a road and a dirt lane in Ireland.
Waze is the best I've used.

It seems to vary a lot by country. It's so rare it makes a mistake for me in England, but I had some intresting results in Tunisia and Malta. Was broadly OK in Turkey.

My phone is complaining about lack of space for iOS updates...
a friend will be visiting from the USA for New Years... a smuggled iPhone is US$1k cheaper than buying here in Brazil.

Do I get the 15 or the 16?
I don't take many photos, and I am certainly not a "content creator". I rarely ask Siri to change the record or put a call through.
I'm tempted to save the $100 and go for the 15...would I regret it? Has anyone been blown away by the 16?
(I have been in the apple eco system for quarter of a century and I am too old to change now)

There seems to be little difference between the 15 and 16 IMO, I’d save the money and get a 15 personally.
Just check the US model though because I think these days they don’t have physical SIM slots and everything in the US is e-sim whereas iPhones in the rest of the world still have physical SIM trays.
I think the main networks in Brazil now support e-sims anyway but just something to keep in mind.

I went from an iphone 11 to a 15 pro mac and it was a lovely leap (especially as all the Apple Unintelligence will work on the 15 pro ones)....I'd agree that the 16 doesn't seem to offer all that much of an upgrade from 15...I too am too old to make it worthwhile learning a new ecosystem - grey pride!

Swapped my iPhone 12 Pro Max for a 16 pro max. Very nice phone, and todays update just turbo charged the experience.

But you’re a super power user..I’m not sure I’d ever use the AI features to write emails…I’ve used it a couple of times to fill in questionnaires. Basically it’s $100 to go from a 15 to a 16..it’s going to be my phone for 4 years..is AI really going to change to world and I’m going to regret my lack of imagination?
(I had an uncle that was an AI expert, but in the agricultural sense..it’s an acronym I feel a little uncomfortable using, for some reason)
