Anyone lived/worked in Lebanon?

I've nearly been totalled by trams in Manchester more than once, place is positively dangerous.

Yeah, it's a regularish* occurrence, tram operations being disrupted because someone's been hit by a tram.

*Probably someone injured at least 2-3 times a year. And there are very occasional fatalities.

I would love to visit Lebanon, but it is very unfortunate in its geography and immediate neighbours and I would be very cautious about going there at the moment.

I understand there are some stunning crusader castles out there.
