Anyone know anything about the Selsun shortage?

My partner's a bit scabby (but i love him!) and finds that only Selsun controls his sebhorraic excema. There seems to be a strange shortgae of it on the shelves and despite both of us speaking to any pharmacist we can pin down and trawling the net no one has any idea why.
Bottles of 100ml are now going for £20 on ebay so it's obviously nationwide but still no info!
He's using other shampoos such as behind the counter Nizorol (2%) which is better than nothing but he's slinking from shadow to shadow when in public because of his sore red oozing/flaking face. I feel his pain!
Can anyone shed any light/ suggest other products?

L'Oreal do a selenium shampoo - has the same active ingredient as Selsun. It's not in supermarkets but you can find it in Boots etc

Ask at the chemist if they are discontinuing it and replacing it with something very much like, I had this happen with the throat lozenges I use on a regular basis.
