Anyone ever visit this pub back in its dodgy past?

Not me, but took my dad past the area when taking the woolwich ferry years ago and he remembered spending much of his time as a Junior seaman hanging around the place when his ship was in dock - thre were a shit load of pubs in the 'hood IIRC, all catering for dockers & seamen- it had a bit of a reputation even back in the late '50s

eta, you can see the ships in the backgound in your pics - he was a bit sad at how desolate the area looked when he saw it
