Seems to be becoming a set modus operandi for these groups now.

Interesting talk of a bit of a power struggle between IS and AQ in the region. Worth keeping an eye on.

Mali and Burkina Faso were always high on my "to visit" list.

Would be interested to read more on how these guys, AQIM, IS , Boko Wotsit and Al Shabab "network" - or not - across the Sahel and any connections to old "ventures" in other states by Libya, Sudan etc.
