Anarchist split at London "movement" cafe

I no nothing about the situation or any of the people but it could be more than just some bacon in a fridge, stuff that's been brewing for ages. What I'm sayin is that maybe there's a few people who need putting in a sack and shaking up

Id bet on that too. This shouldnt really be a matter of public discussion I think though, other than a general thing about lessons to learn.

I think it's more accurate to describe the responses to my opinions that people disagree with as hissy fits. Similar to what you're doing now. However, where I will happily admit to having a hissy fit is seeing such a criminal misuse of apostrophes...(altho I wouldn't expect someone like you with such an obvious lack of a sense of humour to see the funny side to that)

You're not funny though, just mindnumblingly boring.

I don't see how you can run a co-op in such an elitist manner.

It's not elitist. That's a false construct. If anything it is animal-based diets that are elitist. Veganism is all inclusive. There is no such thing as a carnivore human, we are all omnivores at most so none are excluded.

The way one runs such a co-op is simple (not that running a co op is simple per se) - Everyone just needs to be fully conscious of what the aims and principles are - one assumes many will be veggie or vegan anyway. If anyone doesnt accept it they can leave to persue more meat / dairy based enterprises if they wish, and that's that. No fuss, no animosity, just a series of personal choices - those of the majority to run a vegan enterprise and those of a minority to not want to comply. I was lucky enough to be a small part of a very successful enterptise run on those lines.

Carnivores don't only eat meat! If you want to big up the omnivores you need to be supporting the meat-eaters.

But there was animosity stemming from meat (I assume packaged if it's from somerfields) - and salvaged food at that - being stored in a communal freezer outside of the cafe. I think that was a side issue anyway, this all seems to be about 'control' which completely flies in the face of it being a joint effort. If it was just about the meat you forgive the mistake and it's business as usual.

Have you ever been put in a sack?

Damn, hoisted by my own pitard :(

I'll have to take back everything I said about you not having a sense of humour because somewhere deep, deep, deep down inside you is obviously a tiny glimmer of a sense of humour battling daily to make itself heard over the humourless old sod that makes up the rest of your persona*

* please try and see the funny side to that because I'd be terribly upset if you took anything I've said to heart and actually thought it was a serious critique of your personality

having run a vegan cafe in a community centre IT IS FUCKING ELITIST:mad:
yes everybody can eat vegan food I would say the majority of people in the UK won't:( A family centre supposedly aimed at helping the poor and vulnerable alienates more people with its weirdo food policy.
That said if your having a vegan cafe make it vegan. No cafe that actually charges customers should have anything to do with skipped food or food hygine rules are just a capatilist conceit.
But you can go to far had someone object to a large donation of crockery from a hotel loads of plates perfectly servicable just the pattern had worn.
On the grounds that meat had been served on said plates and would leave physic traces of pain:facepalm:
Vegans principles are not higher just diffrent hating people does not make you a more noble person.
comparing butchers shops to concentration camps is highly offensive though actually quite amusing to watch when ageing anti zionist Jews pick on rather naive 20 something vegans and ask them to justify that statement never a good idea to argue with communists your going to lose:D
I enjoyed it but keeping even a crap kitchen going is quite hard work

man cannot live by lentils alone.

Vegans comparing skip-dived food to stripping gold from dead jews teeth in the holocaust is pretty fucking mental tbf.

Speaking as an anarchist vegetarian, if somebody seriously did say "the government is paying people to infiltrate vegan spaces and put meat there", and believe it, then that person should probably seek help.

I'm sorry to have to report that Maidmarian is off to the butchers' to buy mince. I have reason to believe she will make a bolognese sauce and has been paid by the government to put it in vegan fridges.

:(

Can't be fucked walking to the supermarket at the end of the road. Maybe if I sign up to anarchism the government will send someone to pop round with a steak.
