New and hopefully improved film coming up! Looking forward to it. No human/pred team ups this time. :D

Aliens vs. Predator (Alien vs. Predator 2) is the upcoming sequel to 2004's Alien vs. Predator film. Filming began on September 25, 2006 in Vancouver with Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Alec Gillis from Amalgamated Dynamics handling the special effects (as they did for the previous installment) and Daniel Pearl as director of photography. The Brothers Strause (Colin and Greg Strause) have directed the movie [2] from a script by Shane Salerno[3]. Steven Pasquale and Reiko Aylesworth will play leading roles in the film[4] which IMDb has reported as having a release date of December 25, 2007[5]. This date is strongly supported by the Australian release date on Boxing Day (26 December). [6] The film is expected to be rated R as opposed to the PG-13 rating of the original.[7]

A game has also recently been announced for the Sony PSP [8]. The game will center on the lone Predator cleaning up a mess left by a crashed ship.[9] This may also be the plot of the movie.

Images have surfaced showing that both creatures have gone through design changes since the original Paul Anderson directed Alien vs. Predator[10]. These include a return to the ridged-headed aliens last seen in Aliens [1] and a slimmer, more athletic Predator as seen in Predator and Predator 2[11].

It is also rumoured that the Predator variant of the Alien, the Predalien, will appear in the film, after being set up in Alien vs. Predator.[12]

New Predator technology is expected to be seen throughout the course of the film. A new clan Ship will be seen and Ian Whyte and the Strause Brothers have stated that there may be only one main Predator in the film. Other Alien hybrids might appear in the film, and there has been no one to yet confirm that an Alien Queen will be shown. Also it has been confirmed that no Human/Predator team-ups will occur.[13]

The first one was rubbish!

But I'm glad they are making a new one because no matter how many crap ones they make, the potential to make an effin good one will always be there!

there both rubbish. and when they made alien v predator that was even worse. was there any reason for making it? maybe they should make rocky v rambo and get stallone to fight himself.

Nie wiem!

1st one was pretty dire, a 15(12??) was not the way foward. If they upped the violence it might have held the cracks over the weak arsed plot. But als midly entertaining is the best that can be said.

aline v predator. crap.
Stop confusing me!

You said "both are rubbish" AND AvP is rubbish!

Do you thin the Aliens films and the Preditor films are good or not?

I won't be going to see it, the first one was dreadful, A stupid stupid movie, It's a real shame what they're doing to the alien series.

The first one was dreadful and tediously obvious.

I like Aliens. I like Predator. Putting the two together seemed like genius but its only genius in the video game and not the movie.

Yes Aliens Vs Predator 2 was an excellent game. Now if they made that into a storyline for a movie, we're be getting somewhere.

Whether it's good or bad I will still see it at the pictures then buy it on DVD.

I must keep up my collection :loonyexpression:

The fact it says Aliens, rather than just Alien makes me smile like a child.

Obviously means loads of Aliens are going to die thou. :(

Can't they just for once win. Please FOX, let them win.

However the Boxing day release for this year sounds a bit iffy? Straight to DVD?

I would assume this film set's up the crash landing of the alien ship as seen in the original alien????

You need the Hammer House of Horror team to buy the franchise off them. The only production company I know where you never knew who would win because sometimes the bad guys did . Made it all the more scarier.

A very long time ago (nearly 17 years in fact), I saw the original draft of the script for Aliens V Predator based mainly on the excellent Dark Horse comics (it was written by a mate of a mate). It was a pretty good adaption, damn shame they never went with it.

I liked the first one. A bit disappointed that the predators were so crap though... They basically all got pwned within the first half hour. They're meant to be badass.

Plus the first game on PC was awesome.
