You do realise its just the country getting really into whats a big tournament, yeh? Oh noez, how dare we get excited about being in it! We must stop because some bitter welshmen says so!

"the country" :D you are meant to believe that init! most people actually don't give a fuck.

and again, what am i bitter about?

and dont stop, carry on, provides much amusement

There'll always be an England,
While there's a country lane,
Wherever there's a cottage small
Beside a field of grain.
There'll always be an England,
While there's a busy street,
Wherever there's a turning wheel
A million marching feet.
Red, white and blue,
What does it mean to you?
Surely you're proud
Shout it aloud.
Britons awake!
The Empire too,
We can depend on you,
Freedom remains
These are the chains
Nothing can break.
There'll always be an England,
And England shall be free,
If England means as much to you
As England means to me.
"This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in a silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house
Against the envy of less happier lands
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm
This England"

You're bitter cause you can't accept any attention england get, or anyone actually caring about it, it seems to drive you mad, thats bitterness.

no it is just pathetic and FUNNY!
when i worked with a big screen once we had to be ready to get it away as quick as possible as we knew engerlund were gonna lose and lots of sadcases were about to kick off and throw things about.
they did whilst turning tables over and chucking chairs about
lots of red bleary eyed big blokes choking back the tears as well
priceless it was :D

That always seems to happen to you, doesn't it?

i don't, just the bullshit hype/expectation about the engurlund footy team (and other sports) and the shock when they lose.

Essentially it's lots of people getting excited about a big party. A little sad to be all curmudgeonly about that. And I don't think there's ever any shock - just over dramatised disappoint. It's a bit pantomimey festival and I fucking love it. I'm sad that you don't get to experience that.

Besides, we didn't mock you for getting all excited about your nearest 'national excitement' equivalent - Charlotte Church getting her own chat show.

anyway
off t'pub to drink some engrish beer in lovely Welsh sunshine
aaaahh

i expect lots of typical insults and hope for some novel ones by the time i log back on

You're making it too easy ddraig, I'll never bite. :p

You won't see any anger, outrage or bitterness from me I'm afraid, no matter how long and hard you fish for it !!! :D

It makes me smile some folks have got fuck all to do apart from trying to get a reaction out of their neighbours, dont be all bitter come over the bridge and give us a big old hug!

I really think England will win this time a bit shocked about Ferdies injury and Ledleys knee is always a bit of a worry but he really has been on form the last few games of the season, always have doubts about Crouch but Lennon is always a pleasure to watch. Come on England (Spurs).
