funny how your memory is suddenly 'improving' :)
So, basically, Scallywag reprinted some old disinformation regarding Kincora, and this makes it 'anti-establishment'.
Excuse me for not being convinced.
Where to start eh? Neither i or Scallywag claimed they had broken the story.
But what they did was highlight a particular part of the scandal and publish it when others were probably too scared.
As for me being a Tart!!!! I try my best.
Proved true???????
Peterhouse Lilley and Portillo.......
The Tory treasurer was said to be involved in Kincora by Scallywag....Seeing as he was one of the richest and most powerful men in the country at the time i thought if it was untrue he would have sued them......
I dont remember...
...solid that Scallywag was the first to print, and was then proved true. Was the 'tory treasurer' you referred to actually involved in Kincora? Or was it just a name thrown around, along with many others.
The accusations against Health and Mountbatten were made - in print - by Michael...
...any media outlet be "too scared" to re-publish a story that had passed without a writ way back in the mid and late 1970s, balders? All "Scallywag" ever wrote on Kincora was their take on events, pushing a line ("top politicians" being involved) that was also aired back in the mid and late 1970s.
"Scallywag" didn't break the Kincora story. It had been "out in the wild" for over 15 years before "Scallywag" picked it up, you tart. Colin Wallace (who worked for British army intelligence at Lisburn Barracks) broke it, in the mid 1970s, to (IIRC) an Ulster daily paper, as well, a few years...
people claimed all sorts were involved in Kincora, including Heath and Mountbatten! They are rather lacking in supporting evidence tho. Did Scallywag provide any? preferably of a better quality than their evidence for Diana being murdered.
I don't know, I never read it (from what I know of...
...are you scared of mentioning MacAlpine by name?
By the way, if you do your maths you'll note that he wasn't the treasurer of the Conservative party at the time that the Kincora home was under the "care" of William McGrath and Raymond Semple, he only attained that exalted (snigger) position...
1 Fuck all really? I thought you said you had never read it?
One half remembered story ?? So the Kincora boys home scandal and Portillo lilley are just half a remember story? It finished publishing years ago and no i dont remember all the stories but seeing as you cant even remember the stuff...
...the "joint editors" of Lobster split, and for about 2 years (about 4 issues) they put out parallel publications.
They probably covered the Kincora Scandal in greater depth than any other publication has, updating as new info emerges, over 3 decades, and yes, they named everyone whose name...
I love the way you constantly try and do that try and reduce everything down...
The thing is this is a thread about Private eye and whether its anti establishment....Now there are some like you who seem to believe it is and some like me who don't.
but now by your ridiculous comment claiming...
people claimed.....What people claimed? Did anybody claim in print about Heath and Mountbatten?
supporting evidence........ What kind of evidence did you have in mind clouseau?
from what you know of Scallywag ( a magazine you never read) it had a scattergun approach what compared to your...
...(for the connisseur) of the Blue C18 booklet Wells supplied to Browning & hence Griffin
3) Blackmailing gay politicians--Kincora Boys Home scandal/TARA
4) 'placing' stories in the media to discredit groups--eg The Cook Reports on both Griffin & McGuinness, and of course the ongoing BBC...
