Your Television of the year 2015

You've all forgotten The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which shouldn't have been half as good as it was.

I thought it was pretty good, but I don't know that I'd put it on my list. I liked it well enough, but it didn't blow me away.

Also Gogglebox and 24 Hours in A and E, mainstream tv that was good quality with moments of truth or some bullshit like that.

Stonkers:
The Hunt
Wolf Hall
Vikings s3
Mr Robot
Murder Detectives
SAS: Who Dares Wins
Babylon
Humans
Hannibal
The Bridge s3

Curates' eggs (some bits great, others infuriating):
1864
London Spy
Doctor Foster
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
Orphan Black s3
The Scandalous Lady W

Stinkers (should have been great but weren't):
From Darkness
The Last Kingdom
Indian Summers
The Ark
The Outcast

Surely, by any reckoning, you have put Humans in the wrong section.

E2A: and it's on the normally reliable Reno's list as well! Extraordinary.

He was in that Millenium bug type film playing a demented cop iirc. Its on the tip of my tongue, but i refuse to look it up on IMDB, as it will come to me. I'm sure it had a female director and had days in the title. Juliette Lewis rollerskating in bikini bottoms.
He's also the bad alien guy in Men In Black

It was significantly better than anything else I saw that was first aired this year.
I keep putting that one off, not quite sure why the idea of it doesn't grab me. I'm not quite ready to revisit the BB universe as I'd slightly gone off it by the end. I know it has been well received and I will get around to it eventually.

You didn't like Fargo ? That series has taken the spot that Breaking Bad held for me before. The only reason why S2 hasn't made my list is because I'm saving it for Christmas. I think there are quite a few excellent US series out there.

I haven't got round to it, mainly because the original film wasn't a particular favourite, and I'm finding the trend for turning perfectly serviceable films into TV shows a bit weird (From Dusk Till Dawn - why?). Will bear it in mind.

I think its been quite a good year for tv this year - here are the series i think have been largely excellent;

Fargo s2
The Detectorists s2
Narcos
This is England: 90
Peep Show S9

I'd say Fargo s2 tops the lot for me, and i haven't even seen the last one yet
Agree with Detectorists, TIE 90 and Peep Show. Haven't seen the others.

Also

Inside Number 9
Parks and Recreation
Humans
Imagine: The ecstacy of Wilko Johnson

I actually think the series of Fargo is better than the film, which I liked but was also not as crazy about as some. It also is neither a remake nor a reboot, it just takes place in the same universe with lose connections to the film (and other Coen Brothers films, which I think is quite interesting if you're a bit of a film buff).

From Dusk Till Dawn is a shit series based on a so-so film which is simply a remake which drags the film out to breaking point. One is a great way to base a series on a film and a great piece of TV story telling, the other is a lazy one. Fargo doesn't recast the original characters or anything, it just tells more stories in the world the Coens created.

Well, if there was any doubt about The Bridge, that ended with the series last night. Excellent television.

People Just Do Nothing, best believe
Of course! How could I forget
