Question Xbox One Streaming to Windows 10 tablet (or iPad)

It works pretty well to a proper laptop or Desktop, however has anyone tried it on a Windows 10 tablet?

MS recommends a device with at least 2GB of RAM and 1.5GHz processor. There's plenty of cheapo devices around the £100-£150 mark that are probably useless for doing anything decent on, but I purely just want a light handheld 8-10" tablet to stream Xbox One stuff too.

I'm looking for something lighter to have on my lap (ideally not on my lap at all if I can also get a contraption that holds the tablet onto the Gamepad for when the OH is watching the TV.)

I'll probably give using the MS Remote Desktop app on my iPad a whirl over the weekend, can't see anyone else that's tried that, I guess it don't work very well, but plenty of 'mirroring apps' people have used to get screen from PC to iOS, so I guess that could also be a cheaper option.

Anyone else tried to be clever with this and got any advice experience?
