Wristwatches, watches and watch-like gadgets

I have raised an official complaint with Parcel Force. My watch is still with them. By checking their website I now see that
charges will apply, but there is no mention of how much or how to pay. They say a letter will be in the post!
They officially have my email address following a reply to a previous reply. I expect it to be there at least another two weeks. FFS
They have always been shit but that is taking the piss.
I do wonder how much of this is Brexit related.

Oh I had to give up on EU Etsy stuff for a while when the borders went back up. I haven't tried recently to see if they've got the hang of it yet. Had three different things - presents for people - disappear entirely and get refunded.

Iv given up on international purchases to some extent, same issues

Got mine in Malta a couple of months ago, been thinking about one for ages, but when I saw it in the shop window, it made sense to buy it.
First thing though was to change the horrible black shiny strap it came with. A black rubber one (imho) changes the character of it and makes it less 'dressy'.

The above picture isn't very good, but this shows off the lovely blue colour more.

:)

Its gorgeous that.
Is that the SRPG23J1?

I have a new watch. Previously had a Fossil for years as I needed to wear one for work so got used to the feel on my wrist and now hate not wearing one, but I wanted more of a watch watch ( while having limited resources ) so I got this. Need to get some links removed, but liking it and love the eco drive.

They're good watches. I been reading into Citizen watches recently - they are MASSIVE and seriously underrated in the West.

Had to check, but yeah that's the model number.
They seem to have gone up in price, a lot of places showing them as £400. Think I paid £240 in Malta, which was nice. :)

Edited to add gratuitous car/watch forum picture. :D

Yeah, the Citizen Tsuyosa small seconds looks a nice, relatively affordable watch, albeit I can see it becoming somewhat ubiquitous, like the PRX which would put me off it (not a snob honest!)

Bought a yellow one last year as I wanted something 'summery' to go on holiday with.
Needless to say it's hardly had any wear this year. :(

Fucking Parcel Force. They had the watch for 3 weeks. I emailed, did live chat, I raised a complaint and had to chase all the way.
I had to keep searching the website, which instructed me to ring a given number. They gave me a reference, back to website to pay charges.
They are a nightmare, BUT, the watch has arrived in one piece, boxed with original purchase doc's, instructions Etc. all very nice.
I have now managed to work out the strap, set time and date and get it going. I want to change the strap and that doesn't look like
it will be easy, but hey, well pleased.

How is the strap difficult to change?

Good question; I dont know. I dont see any way of removing the strap unfortunately and I would like to change it semi permanently
and/or would like to use a rubber strap occasionally and a wrist cuff, but hey.
To do the strap up is interesting. Two metals clips hidden away by the strap then the strap on top of those.

I want to change the strap to my Baume. The lovely people at Baume replied to my email; sorry no can do, rubber straps will not fit, how about crocodile instead. I braved the security at a very smart watch shop in town; sorry, we can't help. They did go on to give a very strong recommendation for Timsons in Selfridge's.

It's a regular strap. Why can't you change it yourself?
Your watch is the 6653, I think = with a regular lug width of 22mm.
Watchgecko do nice straps.

You will need to measure if the width of your existing strap tapers down from 22mm to say 20/18mm.
Your deployment clasp can be used on ANY strap, provided it has the same measurements.
