What bike do you have?

soulman

is no more...
As cycling seems popular here was wondering what bike or bikes you have and what you like or dislike about it?

I have some black number that says "Matrix" on it. Frankly it's comparisons to the Matrix are somewhat misleading. Ah well it gets me from a to b.

It's my mates anyway, she said it cost her £60 from Woolworths.

I've got a Spooky Bandwagon frame (little jumpy mountain bike) that I built up myself with new wheels and forks and some of the remaining good bits from my previous bike, a Gary Fisher Paragon. It is sadly underused and mostly hanging up gathering dust at the moment but I can't bear to sell it.

My son has a Giant(I think), he likes that it's not too heavy, hubby has a Diamondback and 2 Saracens, one fo the saracens is mainly a road bike, the other two are mountain/crosscountry bikes.
I have a VW golf, I like that I don't have to pedal it ;)

I have one of these beauties:

Although I fitted breaks and clipless pedals to mine. No gears, fixed wheel and at one with the road. See me fly.

It was really weird riding a fixed wheel at first, but now I am used to It I don't think I would go back.

BURN THE WITCH

;)

I've got a specialized sirrus.. with a saddle and handlebars from a different bike, I forget which (I smiled sweetly in the bike shop and they swapped them for me ;)) it's still pretty shiney and new and I love it... just need the seat raised a little :)

GT Avalanche 1.0. Pretty good, just need to change the tyres to something more hybrid but they'll do for now

I used to have a GT Pro Series which was a wicked racer BMX but was no good for doing tricks or owt as it was far too long. Light as a feather though!

I say "used" because I gave it to a bunch of traveller kids and I've not got a new bike yet.

I wondered how long it would take :D

I aim to please

The last bike I owned was one of these: but with the T shaped gear change thing at bollock removing height between the seat and handlebars

I am actually thinking of getting another one

specialized allez.

armadillo tyres, of course. and a handmade wheel, after brixton cycles persuaded me.

I really, really want one of those fuji track bikes (see picture earlier in thread :( ) but it would be no practical use to me as I live at the top of a very steep hill.

Hand made eh? What's the benefit there then?

any excuse to take and post a photo! ;)

Cheap and cheerful bike - had it for 6 years now and never had any problems (but that's probably because I only use it about once a month :D )

What do I like about it? The wheels go around when I pedal and the breaks work and I like the noise it makes when I change gears...

that 'thing' at the top left-hand corner is a robot my son made out of his old shoe.

I *heart* my fixie!:)

i hope you lock it up better than that normally! :p ;)

I have a 7 year old Sachs, gold. Got it free 3 weeks back and has needed some work done to it.

I feel an urban road trip coming on...

Err I think I have seen that bike (and probably you!) around Brixton?! Do you have a few cards in the spokes?

And yes I do normally have 2 locks for it:p

Gary Fisher Big Sur

Only thing I don't like about it are the curvy bars, which I chose myself and later realised are a mistake, should have gone for straight bars

Forks, chainset and brakes aren't amazing (Basic RockShox, Sugino Mighty and Avid 10) but will change them when they wear out.
