Universal credit is stressing me out

Who was his referrer to us? As they are sometimes very good at helping navigate this stuff. Crisis are, Red Cross can be, Refugee Council are....

He's been to Lambeth law about this claim but he said he was fed up of them last night. Not sure why. Crisis referred him. Not sure if he's spoken to them or not.

He's got his student loan now but half of it is gone on repaying people loans.

My understanding is that if you are a student it can be harder to get the housing element of UC. Is he full time? He wouldn’t qualify for the ‘JSA’ element of UC if so, his student loans, including the fees to the uni are taken into account as income which adds difficulty.

I say this because single women who are full time students we can’t usually accept into refuge as they won’t qualify for housing benefit (never mind if her ex kills her though eh). I presume he has no dependants and isn’t on any disability benefits which are things that will enable him to qualify.

He wasn't a student until October. The money that they did give him was presumably the jsa or esa bit.

I am now £744 in rent arrears due to UC I have sent an e mail to my local MP
who`s assitant is looking into it and seems very helpfull , its madness 5 months down
the road this is still going on really so unfair.

Hmmm... just noticed something from one of your earlier posts about how your GP was supposed to fax something over but it didn't get to the DWP in time.

Are you sure your GP surgery fucked up? Or could it be possible that your GP surgery did send the fax but the DWP lost it/didn't attach it to your file or whatever?

Can you check with your GP surgery and ask if they filed the fax confirmation slip in your medical records? If they did send it and if you can confirm that it was sent (to the correct fax number) maybe your MP can help you get the decision overturned?

The GP sent the letter a few days after I asked them to send it, the letter was great but to late. This time I have a letter going in on time for the work side re my sciatica ..I have been dealing with the problems head on i.e getting the MP involved its really odd no one knows what really is going on with this, when I told my houseing officer that UC was being held back for 5 years she did not know this was going to happen
